Why Salsa Dance Classes?

Cuban Salsa dancing is an amazing hobby for adults of all ages. Why? It’s danceable by all. Commonly danced in partners (whether couples or not), it is an exciting yet simple dance (despite appearances). More informal and down-to-earth than ballroom dancing, and with more caribbean-style than Ceroc, Salsa dancing is growing in popularity in the UK as its colourful cuban music gets more international exposure. People of all walks are discovering how Cuban Salsa dancing combines all the best things about social dancing: its fun, active, sociable, exciting, and exotic, while still being doable by adults of all ages.

Go ahead and explore the FAQ’s, and book your place on one of our salsa dance classes. We keep places limited to keep it personal and ensure Covid-Safety. Once you’ve booked you’ll receive a confirmation email. Then simply arrange payment 48 hours before the night and turn up on the night in Worcester. We’ll be waiting to teach you how to salsa dance!

Our Worcester Location

We have students from all over Worcestershire learning salsa at our two Worcester salsa class nights. Located in the excellent Edgar Suite of the Tenpin Worcester Bowling Complex, we are conveniently situated just ten minutes drive north of Worcester City Centre, just off of the A38. This makes us easily accessible for the people of Bewdley, Bromsgrove, Droitwich Spa, Evesham, Great Malvern, Kidderminster, Pershore, Redditch, Stourport-on-Severn, Upton-on-Severn and other places (Drive times are listed above). Worcester Tenpin also has a large, secure, well-lit car park making it an ideal spot for Worcester’s top up-and-coming salsa dance club.

If you decide to join us for lessons on our next course, you can expect to learn in a relaxed, informal and friendly environment. And, from the very first night you’ll be successfully dancing cuban salsa while getting fit and meeting new people. Before you know it you’ll be making new friends and becoming a part of a fantastic social dancing community: no matter what your ability, level or experience.

At dancinghub…

you can learn to dance the vibrant and exciting latin dance of Cuban Salsa! At our two nights in Worcester, we run concurrent 6 week salsa dance courses every Monday and Thursday for complete beginner and intermediate levels. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never danced a sober step before, or if you “have two left feet”. We have plenty of experience teaching people of all abilities, from all walks of life at our dance classes.

Beginners, we teach you everything…

you need to build up your salsa dancing skills (from scratch): focusing on the foundation steps/moves. One of the great things about our approach at dancinghub, is that to take the pressure off, we keep things simple and always recap the previous week’s material so that you can grow confident and succeed in your salsa dancing (while having a great time doing so!). We also make ourselves available before and after classes to give you that extra bit of help if you want or need it!

Our Monday and Thursday courses…

in Worcester are synchronised, meaning that you can alternate your salsa dance classes to suit you. So if you ever need to miss your usual night, you can do the alternate night. That said, if you can’t make it to either class for whatever reason (holiday, work etc) it’s okay to miss a week or two because we always recap the material done so far: meaning you’ll still get to do all of the course material and learn salsa properly. We designed this to fit around busy lives!

…Who is it for?

Once Covid restrictions are lifted couples or individuals can come and learn salsa in partners. We also run sessions for individuals dancing solo “in lines”.  In any case, everyone is in the same boat: learning salsa dancing together.

…Can I try just one salsa class out first to see if I like it?

Sure. Come along to one session and see how you like it. No commitment needed and no pressure.

…What happens after beginners?

Once you’re comfortable with the moves from our beginner’s courses, and you’re feeling confident and ready, you can then start learning in our intermediate courses where we’ll build on the skills!
